The Professional Patient Advocates in Life Sciences (PPALS), a 501c3 non-profit organization supports the individuals who are responsible for the Patient Advocacy function within the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.

The mission of the Professional Patient Advocates in Life Science (PPALS) is:
  • Advance Patient Advocacy as a profession
  • Provide greater visibility for individuals in the patient advocacy field
  • Encourage drug development and related companies to establish this function where it does not yet exist, as appropriate
  • Serve as a catalyst for positive change.
  • Ultimately, PPALS strives to be the mechanism through which a national certification program for patient advocates in industry is developed.
