Professional Patient Advocates in Life Sciences (PPALS) is a non-profit organization committed to supporting the function of Patient Advocacy within the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. PPALS represents, supports and encourages individuals to achieve the goal of improving the lives of their respective patient communities.

Our Mission

Our mission is to advance Patient Advocacy as a profession and serve as a catalyst for positive change by:

Bringing the concerns and needs of patients and the profiles of Patient Advocacy organizations to industry.

Providing greater visibility for individuals in the Patient Advocacy field at a corporate level.

Encouraging drug development and related companies to establish this function where it does not exist.

To achieve these goals, PPALS is working to develop and introduce a national certification program for Patient Advocates in industry.
