We are pleased to present the 2024 Sanford/Professional Patient Advocates in Life Sciences (PPALS) Patient Advocacy Certificate Training (PACT) which will be held May 13-16 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
PACT is designed as an educational forum with two tracks and levels:
· Industry Track Introductory Level
· Industry Track Intermediate Level
· Patient Advocacy Organization (PAO) Introductory Level
· Patient Advocacy Organization (PAO) Intermediate Level
For both tracks, an individual is required to take the Introductory Level before registering for the Intermediate Level.
Attendance for PACT is limited. There are 40 seats for each level of the Industry Track and 20 seats for each level of the PAO Track. This allows for an environment that is conducive to learning and networking. To receive the full benefit of the PACT course, please plan to stay for the entire time.
The Industry Track is designed for individuals who work in the patient advocacy function at a biotech, pharma or a closely related company. It is also appropriate for someone who is interested in learning more about the patient advocacy function in industry if considering a career move.
The PAO Track focus is for individuals who serve in a senior leadership or board position at a non-profit patient advocacy organization. It is also helpful for individuals who are contemplating the undertaking of starting a PAO.
