Patient Advocate Certification Training 2022

 

General Information:

The 2022 Sanford/PPALS Patient Advocacy Certificate (PACT) course will take place in person May 16-19th in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. 

We are in the midst of finalizing the registration process. Since it is done through Sanford Research, we are working with their internal processes at the moment. We hope that it will be up and running very soon; I sincerely apologize for this delay. Once it is active, it will be posted on this website and a link will be emailed to everyone who has expressed interest.

Basic information about the PACT course:

The PACT course is an in-person experience which differs from the usual conferences that we have
come to know and attend

  • PACT has two Tracks: Industry and Patient Advocacy Organization (PAO)
  • Each Track has two Levels: Introductory and Intermediate.
  • Intermediate is only open to those who have attended the Introductory Level; no exceptions
  • There is limited seating for each Level and Track
    • Introductory Industry 35 seats; PAO 15 seats
    • Intermediate Industry 35 seats; PAO 15 seats
  • Attendance is required at all sessions
  • None of the lectures are recorded
  • Registration fee includes educational materials, shuttle bus from the ClubHouse Suites to the
    Sanford campus, welcome reception, 1 group dinner, 3 lunches and 6 refreshment breaks
  • The Sanford/PPALS PACT is supported by registration fees; there are no sponsors or
    exhibitors in attendance

Industry Track

Industry Introductory Level 101 (35 seats) provide individuals who work in a patient advocacy function within a company the opportunity to expand their knowledge on pertinent topics while enhancing their professional development. It also serves as an introduction for individuals who are considering a move into this unique and important career.

Industry Intermediate Level 201 (35 seats) is for individuals. The Intermediate Level continues the patient advocacy conversation through case studies on pertinent topics and lectures on current and relevant topics. Registration is restricted to individuals who have attended the Introductory level; there are no exceptions.

Registration fees for Introductory Industry Level 101 and Intermediate Industry Level 201:

$950 for current Professional Patient Advocates in Life Sciences members

$1,450 for Professional Patient Advocates in Life Sciences Non-members

 

Patient Advocacy Organizations (PAO) Track

Patient Advocacy Organization (PAO) Introductory Level 101(15 seats) offers senior leadership and board members of PAOs courses that can assist with insights on institutional growth and development. 

Patient Advocacy Organization (PAO) Intermediate Level 201 (15 seats) offers senior leadership and board members the skills and best practices on managing their respective organizations through case studies and lectures on current and relevant topics. 

Attendance is required at all sessions

None of the lectures are recorded

Registration fees for Introductory PAO Level 101 and Intermediate PAO Level 201:

$325 for individuals holding a senior leadership position at a PAO

 

The Registration fee includes educational materials, daily shuttle bus from the ClubHouse Suites to the Sanford campus, welcome reception, 1 group dinner, 3 lunches and 6 refreshment breaks

The Sanford/PPALS PACT is supported by registration fees; there are no sponsors or exhibitors in attendance

A complimentary Shuttle Bus will be provided to transport attendees between the ClubHouse Suites Hotel and the Sanford campus.

Please inform hotel that you are reserving a room to attend the Sanford/PPALS PACT course. Room block is available until April 10,2022. A special room rate of $109 plus tax and fees is being offered. A second property will be made available once the ClubHouse Hotel Room block is filled.

The PACT course was developed in a collaboration between Sanford CoRDS, and Professional Patient Advocates in Life Sciences (PPALS).

Professional Patient Advocates in Life Sciences (PPALS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to defining and advancing the function of patient advocacy within the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
